Expertise:
Matthew Spengler joined the firm in September 2008. His practice
focuses primarily on land use, eminent domain, appellate and public
policy. Prior to joining Hale Friesen, Mr. Spengler was a law clerk for
Judge Susan G. Braden on the United States Court of Federal Claims in
Washington, D.C. from 2006-07. He also clerked for Justice Gregory
Hobbs on the Colorado Supreme Court from 2007-08.
Mr. Spengler received a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law
in 2006. He received a Masters in Public Administration from the
University of Colorado-Denver in 1998 and an A.B. from Davidson College in 1992. While attending law school, Mr. Spengler was an articles editor for the George Mason Law Review and served on the Moot Court Board.
